Wolfgang Pichler
architecture & design

I shape buildings, rooms and the things that fill them, always toward one quiet ambition: that inside and outside stop being two places.

The Philosophy: Clarity, Harmony, Craftsmanship

My work begins in quiet. Not the quiet of empty rooms, but of warm oak, of a proportion that asks nothing of you, of light that crosses a wall through the day. I leave the material legible: the grain, the seam, the trace of the hand that worked it. I build slowly, with the people who will live there, until the rooms belong to them alone.

The Work

From the site to the seam

One Continuous Line

I follow one idea from the wall to the window to the table beneath it. Nobody takes over halfway. And where the room meets the garden, the two should be hard to tell apart.
